Sumner High School in Riverview, Florida opened in 2020.
At the time of this build, the school was Hillsborough County’s largest high school. For this project, Commercial Products provided plate and frame heat exchangers and pumps for an ice storage facility that makes ice at night when energy prices are at their lowest, allowing the school to turn its chiller off during the day when energy costs are high. This technology allows the school to affordably utilize air conditioning power.
